Good bones pay off

Today I decided to share pictures from another one of our remodels. The year before last, we decided it was finally time to update our kitchen. When we remodeled our master bedroom/bathroom we moved a wall which pretty much eliminated all of our cabinets. We were seriously living like fraternity boys.

As you can see our kitchen was u-g-l-y, but with the help of our interior decorator I knew we could transform it. Here are some pictures of the progress.

It took about a month to finish construction and it was an interesting experience to live without a kitchen. We ate a lot of microwave meals, but in the end it was worth it. I present, the finished product.

We are so blessed to be able to customize our home to our needs. I used to believe that if you had an ugly house, you had an ugly house. Now I understand what people mean when they say a house has "good bones". A little creativity and a lot of hard work can take a home from the worst of the worst to something more than you ever imagined. We are still loving our new kitchen!
